PAYASITA POLITICO

The call-them-as-I-see-them political thoughts of a 28 year old mom. WARNING: THIS BLOG CONTAINS STRONG POLITICAL OPINION COUPLED WITH SARCASM AND SATIRE. HOPEFULLY IT WILL OFFEND. NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH HEART, LIVER, OR KIDNEY PROBLEMS. OR METROSEXUALS.

I'm a crack-ho lazy mom who vacillates between feelings of inadequacy and delusions of grandeur. I am not bothered by kid snot, garlic breath or Bob Dylan's voice. But pinch me with your toes and I will probably kill you.

This is cheerful news for hump day. It just goes to show that force was definitely necessary. The debatability of there being "true" insurgents (i.e. the actual Iraqi resistence targeting the military as opposed to foreign terrorists who kidnap and behead civilians) is still on. My personal opinion is that the local insurgents are terrorists as well. Perhaps not as extreme as the foreigners, but they don't wear uniforms, they use mosques for their military operations, and they rely heavily on suicide bombers to achieve their military objectives.

However, it is good to see them fracturing and turning on each other. Peace and freedom will prevail. It would be a shame for us not to get the credit. But we won't. Our own media has seen to that, not to mention the foreign press. To be fair though, the British press has lambasted France, Germany and Russia for their involvement with Saddam Hussein and the oil for food scandal, while the American press (in their dedication to electing "Anybody But Bush,") has been largely silent.

And where has this been? The only things I can find on John Howard's win in Australia are dated 10/9, before all the votes were even in. Australia is one of our major allies. Shouldn't we be hearing snippets of Howard's victory speech? C'mon. One little snippet. Is this too much to ask? This is a huge defeat for Kerry who sent his family to campaign for John Howard's opposition. Perhaps the American people should not hear about the Aussie election. We may end up with the mistaken impression that we are not alone in the world, and that would help the Bush/Satan ticket. No, no. Better for the media to keep the people uninformed. The end justifies the means, eh?
